Meet Head Chef Akriti
I became a chef because I have always believed that food has a unique way of bringing people together. Long before a dish reaches the table, it carries a story, a memory, and a feeling that words alone can never express. That belief continues to inspire me every single day.
My journey has taken me from New York to Dubai, where I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the world’s greatest culinary minds, including Massimo Bottura and Daniel Boulud. Those experiences taught me that true excellence isn’t about complexity, it’s about consistency, humility, respect for ingredients, and the constant desire to keep learning.
Today, I am incredibly proud to lead the kitchen at Isabella Cucina, one of the few female-led kitchens in Dubai. I see this not only as a privilege, but as a responsibility, to inspire, to mentor, and to prove that passion, discipline, and resilience know no boundaries. I lead by example, encouraging my team to cook with purpose, challenge themselves every day, and never lose sight of why we fell in love with this profession.
For me, every plate that leaves the pass reflects who we are. My goal has always been simple: to create honest, memorable Italian food that makes every guest feel genuinely welcomed, cared for, and connected. If you leave Isabella with a smile, a lasting memory, and the feeling that you’ve shared something special around our table, then I’ve done my job.
